Your Elm Ridge WCID Board of Directors met on Thursday, September 18th for a regular meeting and Public Tax Rate Hearing. Here are a few updates from the meeting:

• Tax Rates: No changes for the next fiscal year; rates will remain at $0.88.
• Trash Delays: The Board approved chargebacks against the vendor due to ongoing service problems. It is crucial to submit all waste-related issues to Elm Ridge WCID for tracking purposes.
• Artesia Blvd & First Street Traffic Light: Director Pacewicz and the General Manager met with Prosper to discuss the traffic light at Artesia Blvd and First Street. A new traffic study will determine Elm Ridge's share of the payment.
• ArrowBrooke Park: Expansion of the parking lot is scheduled to begin in October/November.
• School Zone Signs: New signs for school zones and crosswalks were installed in Savannah and Artesia.
• Artesia Bridge Repair: This project is still pending, completion date TBD
• Gardenia Fire Lane: Changes are pending with Denton County Commissioners Court and are expected soon.
• Elm Ridge Mobile App: The Board approved the budget for a new mobile app, which will allow residents to submit tickets, pay bills, receive notifications, and more. Expect more updates soon.
• Communication Survey: A survey will be distributed next week to gather resident preferences on communication methods. Please look out for it!
